Hummingbirds of the Coastal Bend

The Texas Coastal Bend has great diversity and density of hummingbirds. The area hosts the most eastern wintering hummingbirds in the country. The biology, identification, migration and residency of the eight primary hummingbirds of the region will be discussed along with tips on how to manage your hummers.
Brent Ortego has conducted 15 years of research on hummingbirds. He is a retired biologist with the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department, and Christmas Bird Count editor of Texas.
