Shorebirds of the Coastal Bend
The numbers and variety of shorebirds in the Coastal Bend are incredible. This field trip is designed especially for those of you who find shorebirds interesting but also challenging to identify. Think of this outing as a workshop to hone your skills. Target birds include Snowy and Piping Plover, Reddish Egret, and American Oystercatcher. The leaders will scout the day before to provide the best possibility for the most species.
Make sure you attend Mel Cooksey's presentation on Wednesday to prepare for the trip.
